ANSWERS

1. WHAT IS THE SET UP FEE?
A. Most lists have a Set Up. It is a flat fee that covers Set Up and selection. Many lists are held with data processing houses and the Set Up covers the fees incurred in producing the list.

2. HOW DOES THE PRICING WORK?
A. There are generally three components to list pricing.

1. The Set Up - a flat list production fee.
2. The Rate Per 1,000 - the cost per 1,000 (or part thereof) for a particular data type.
3. The Minimum Order Requirement - expressed as a dollar value or quantity. When expressed as a dollar value the Set Up is included in the minimum order.

EXAMPLE 1

Qty: 2562 records

Rate per 1,000 = $250 per 1,000
Minimum Order = $550

The calculation as follows:

2.562 x 250 = $640.50
Set Up = $250.00

Total = $890.50

EXAMPLE 2

Qty: 814 records

Rate per 1,000 = $250 per 1,000
Minimum Order = $550

The calculation as follows:

.814 x 250 = $203.50
Set Up = $250.00
Combined value = $453.50, less than the minimum order requirement
Minimum Order = $550.00

Because the combined value of the rate per thousand and the Set Up is less than the minimum order value, the $550 applies.

Total = $575.00

PLEASE NOTE: 10% GST NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO ALL PRICING

3. WHAT IS A LIST RENTAL AGREEMENT?
A. The List Rental Agreement confirms to you the selections made, format required and pricing. It also formalises the requirements and restrictions relating to the supply of the list.

4. HOW IS THE LIST DELIVERED TO ME?
A. If a Microsoft Excel or an ASCII Text file are supplied these can be emailed as attachments.
Hard Copy or Self Adhesive Labels will be delivered by Courier.

5. WHAT FORMATS ARE LISTS AVAILABLE IN?
A. The most common formats are:

Microsoft Excel or ASCII Text files - these can be imported into most Database Programs or Contact Management Software.

Hard Copy - telemarketing reports can be provided as Hard Copy printouts if required.

Self Adhesive Labels - mailing data can be printed onto 'peel & stick' Labels.

6. HOW DOES THE 'DELIVERABILITY' WORK?
A. Every list has a 'Deliverability'. The most common is 97%. What this means is that the list could normally expect to have up to 3% of the quantity mailed returned as undeliverable (it is impossible to keep any list 100% accurate). If a quantity greater than the 3% is returned then the list rental rate per 1,000 is credited for those undeliverable records that are in excess of what is expected.

7. HOW MANY TIMES CAN I USE A LIST & WHAT DOES 'LIST RENTAL' MEAN?
A. Generally a list is supplied for a one time use only. Rental means you do not own the list, but have the right to use it once. Any responses become your contacts and can be added to your own database.
Some Lists can be purchased outright for unlimited use, or can be rented for multiple uses where 2nd and subsequent uses are provided at a discounted rate. If a list is available for purchase, the Datacard will usually indicate a Purchase rate per 1,000. Check with your Account Executive with regards to discounts for multiple usages.
All lists are 'seeded' with 'dummy' names to detect unauthorised usage.

8. CAN THE LIST BE SENT DIRECTLY TO ME?
A. In most cases, Yes. Some lists may need to be processed by an independent Mailing House, Fax Broadcaster or Email Broadcaster. This requirement will usually be indicated on the Datacard.

9. WHAT IS MEANT BY A LIST BEING 'PERSONALISED'?
A. A list is said to be personalised when an individuals name is present (Initial & Last name or First and Last name). A fully personalised record (an address) contains a salutation (Mr, Mrs, Ms, etc.), initial and surname. Not all personalised lists will have a salutation. If you require a fully personalised record with salutation, then this must be specified when placing your order.
